Jonathan Baker

Jonathan joined the group in the summer of 2023 as a summer undergraduate researcher. He’s currently pursuing a dual degree in physics (Honours) and electrical engineering at the University of Ottawa. During his undergraduate studies, he developed a strong interest in quantum mechanics and photonics.

As part of the group, Jonathan explored quantum walks through simulations and data analysis and conducted research for his honours project on the limits of quantum phase uncertainties using photon-number resolving detectors. In September 2025, he will continue his studies with the group as he pursues a master’s degree in physics at the University of Ottawa.

In his free time, Jonathan enjoys cooking, spending time in nature, gardening, and helping his parents on their hobby farm.
