Bio

Noah joined NRC through the University of Ottawa in Winter 2024. He graduated from Macalester College in 2016 with an honors in physics, a major in math, and a minor in classics. He (has almost!!) earned his PhD in physics from the University of Toronto, where he studied quantum optics under Professor Aephraim Steinberg. Noah is interested in using table top experiments to shed light (pun intended) on the deepest mysteries in quantum mechanics. His has focused on measurement disturbance: both understanding it foundationally and exploiting it for advantages in quantum metrology.

Outside of the lab, Noah can be found swing dancing, round-house kicking a sparring partner, dungeon mastering, making video games, and contributing to open source projects.
